On Saturday, October 15th, more than 200 Kennedy Krieger Institute patients, staff members, family, and friends took to the streets of Baltimore to participate in the 2016 Baltimore Running Festival. Participating on the team was a total of 26 patients who completed everything from the Kids Fun Run, 5k, and the full marathon. On Friday night, Team Kennedy Krieger members were able to enjoy a hearty pasta dinner that was provided by Sabatinos Restaurant. This allowed peopel to fuel up on carbs, meet other team members, and hear how the money raised has impacted the lives of patients seen at the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury. Race day featured perfect weather, a Kennedy Krieger tent in Charity Village where people could grab some pre or post race snacks, and tons of camaraderie as everone cheered each other on.
Thanks to all of our participants and their supporters, Team Kennedy Krieger has raised nearly $120,000 in support of the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury! Thank you for all you do on our behalf.
