Spirits were high on Saturday, April 30th at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Maryland, where an enthusiastic group of more than 1,150 registered participants came together for Kennedy Krieger Institute’s ROAR for Kids. The twelfth annual 5k run, low-mileage walk, and family festival raised critical funds for kids, research, and programs at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Once again, everyone enjoyed the family festival, which featured the Wegman’s Wellness Village, carnival games, local food trucks, one of the area’s most impressive playgrounds, and the ROAR for Kids Mascot Challenge.
This year’s ROAR for Kids was a ROARing success, raising more than $130,000 to support research and programs for kids at Kennedy Krieger. Congratulations to Spencer Furmidge who won the ROAR for Kids Cara Becker Youth Fundraising Award by raising more than $500 for the event.
Kennedy Krieger wants to thank all the sponsors, participants, and volunteers who helped make this event possible!
