More than 100 people attended the Oct. 9 opening night reception for the “Art of Unlocking Potential” art exhibit at Monument Sotheby’s International Realty in Baltimore’s Roland Park neighborhood.
Guests had the opportunity to view and purchase artwork created by students in Kennedy Krieger Institute’s school programs. Students and their families who attended the reception were thrilled to see their artwork framed and professionally displayed. Proceeds from the sale of these pieces will benefit the Institute’s school programs.
Art exhibit “The Zebra Alphabet” was also on display, featuring artwork—also available for purchase—by former Kennedy Krieger fellow Aditi Kantipuly. To create these pieces, Kantipuly combined letters of the alphabet with watercolor paintings to transform complex, rare genetic conditions into recognizable images with which one may easily relate. Proceeds from the sale of this artwork will benefit rare disease research at Kennedy Krieger.
