November 15 | 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Women's Initiative Network (WIN) of Kennedy Krieger Institute hosts WIN's Wine Walkabout. The walkabout will explore a variety of wine and food stations to excite the palate and chances to enter and win one of our fabulous raffle prizes. It is a social gathering amid a beautiful and nationally acclaimed golf course.
Proceeds from the event benefit attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) research at Kennedy Krieger. ADHD is the most common behavioral diagnosis in childhood, affecting as many as 10 percent of children throughout the world. Dr. Mark Mahone and his team study brain and behavioral development, and recently published a first-of-its-kind, longitudinal study on four and five-year-old children with ADHD. Using world-class neuroimaging technology at Kennedy Krieger, the team can continue this groundbreaking research, bringing our experts closer to translating scientific discovery into the most advanced and earliest interventions and treatments for children with ADHD. Funds raised will also underwrite the cost of Camp SOAR.

The Women's Initiative Network (WIN) is a volunteer organization dedicated to raising awareness and resources for Kennedy Krieger Institute by promoting and facilitating volunteerism that assists families who use the Institute. WIN acknowledges and responds to the basic needs, whether it's finding tickets to a ball game or simply supplying a welcome bag for each new family who comes to stay as an inpatient at the Institute, so more energy can be focused on hugs and healing.
