April 27 | 8:00 am to 11:30 am
On a windy morning, we at Kennedy Krieger were blown away by the amount of support we received by everyone who came to ROAR for Kids!
More than 1,000 registered participants came to Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Maryland on Saturday, April 27th to take part in Kennedy Krieger Institute’s annual ROAR for Kids event. The 5K run, low-mileage walk, and family festival raised more than $100,000 to support research programs for children at Kennedy Krieger Institute. A special shout out to Landon Brown, who raised more than $3,000 for the Institute and the Cara Becker Youth Fundraising Award winner for the third year in a row!
Attendees enjoyed the Jungle Festival, which featured the Wegman’s Wellness Village, carnival games, face painting, and the ROAR for Kids Mascot Challenge, an obstacle course race featuring local mascots from Baltimore sports teams, high schools, and universities.
This year’s ROAR for Kids was a ROARing success - special thanks to all the sponsors, participants, and volunteers who helped make this event possible!
