Fundraising & Special Events
Kennedy Krieger Institute events are uplifting, enjoyable and a great way to bring family and community together. With a variety of fundraisers, professional conferences and special events related to the important work done at Kennedy Krieger Institute, you're sure find a number of areas in which you can get involved. From continuing education conferences for both professionals and caregivers, to major fundraising events and local organization meetings, there are numerous opportunities from which you can choose. Please take a moment to explore all of the exciting things that are happening and make plans to attend and support our work.
Several Institute events, such as Festival of Trees and ROAR: Ride on for Autism Research, help raise significant funding for our programs. The success of these events relies heavily on much appreciated corporate sponsorships, volunteers and your continued support.

SUMMARY:
Run for Your Lives is a one-of-a-kind 5k obstacle course race where you run, jump, and climb your way to the finish—all while being chased by…zombies? But don’t just run for your lives, run for their lives—kids battling brain injuries and disorders at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
At Kennedy Krieger, our sole focus is on the problems and injuries affecting a child’s developing brain. For decades, our dedicated researchers, physicians, therapists and educators have been helping children with brain injuries and disorders across the nation on their road to recovery.
Through your support, Kennedy Krieger is able to provide groundbreaking research and critically needed care for children like Rohan, Gemma and Graeme, Matthew, and thousands of others battling brain injuries and disorders nationwide.

Volunteers are Always Welcome
Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals and corporations who are interested in donating their time and talents. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said that "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?" Volunteering can be a very rewarding answer to that question. Volunteers are needed for all of our special events and are always welcome and much appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering for these or any other events, please contact events@kennedykrieger.org to keep your address up-to-date in our database.
If you are interested in obtaining more information about these events, please contact the Special Events Team at 443-923-7300. If you are interested in helping Kennedy Krieger by organizing a benefit or by volunteering as a fundraiser, please visit our "Plan Your Event" page.
