Outpatient Center in
the new Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Building

Kennedy Krieger’s Outpatient Center in the new Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Building is named for The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc.’s generous $7,150,000 lead gift towards the new center for outpatient care. As a comprehensive resource for disabled children, their families, and Baltimore’s underprivileged community, the center will support the Foundation’s legacy of affirming the value and dignity of every human life.

The Outpatient Center in the new Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Building will be an architectural flagship featuring state-of-the-art technology surrounded by natural healing gardens. A six-story physical expression of the Institute's patient-centered approach, the Weinberg Building will boast one of the most comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation facilities in the world.

Housing all of Kennedy Krieger's outpatient clinics and therapeutic services, this ambitious expansion will allow us to serve more children with more comprehensive services at one location, continue to attract top staff and allow our research initiatives to expand into dedicated space of their own.

Harry and Jeanette Weinberg were life-long philanthropists dedicated to improving the lives of poor people around the world. Upon their passing, their billion dollar estate formed the Foundation which has become one of the nation’s top grantmakers. The Foundation’s mission is to provide the poor, elderly, and disabled with shelter, nutrition, health, and socialization, and to enhance their abilities to meet these needs themselves. This goal is accomplished each year through $100 million in annual grant making.
